2025.12.26 A paper by Postdoctoral Researcher Neha Sharma was ranked among the Top 20 most downloaded articles in the “Most Read Articles (Past Month)” list of ACS Macro Letters.

2025.12.15-20 At the Pacifichem 2025 (Honolulu, Hawaii), Postdoctoral Researcher Neha Sharma and second-year Master’s students Takaya Okazaki and Yutaro Shimizu, delivered oral and poster presentations on the following research topics.

2025.12.10 At the MRM 2025, Postdoctoral Researcher Neha Sharma delivered an oral presentation titled “Baroplastic Incorporation for Low-Temperature Processing of Poly(L-lactide).”

2025.11.27-28 At the Membrane Symposium 2025, Mr. Wataru Sakanishi (2nd-year Master’s student) presented a poster entitled “CO₂ separation performance of thermally rearranged polybenzoxazole copolymer membranes with a cardo structure,” and Ms. Natsuko Azuma (1st-year Master’s student) presented a poster entitled “Preparation and function of CO₂ separation membrane modules using amines as CO₂ carriers.”

2025.11.26  At the 15th Joint University Research Forum, Mr. Ryo Tanioka (1st-year Master’s student) presented a poster on “Low-Temperature Moldable Biodegradable Plastics,” and Mr. Takumi Wada (4th-year undergraduate student) presented a poster on “Efficient CO₂ Separation and Capture Using Alkaline Aqueous Solutions for Achieving Carbon Recycling.”

2025.11.18 Our laboratory exhibited at the Hokuriku Yarn Fair 2025.

2025.10.27-28 At the 2025 Fall Meeting of the Society of Fiber Science and Technology, Japan, Professor Ikuo Taniguchi gave an oral presentation entitled “Formulation of degradable baroplastics and the pharmacological activity” In addition, the following members of our laboratory will presented their research in the poster session:

2025.9.28 ABC Television’s program“Q-1: U-18 Research Presentation SHOW That Will Change the Future” was broadcast nationwide on terrestrial television.In this year’s competition, Professor Ikuo Taniguchi served as a post-presentation review judge.

2025.9.25 Mr. Hiroto Tada (D4) was conferred the degree of Doctor of Engineering and has successfully graduated.We extend our deepest respect for his dedicated contributions to research and sincerely wish him continued success in his future endeavors.

2025.9.16-18 At the 74th Symposium on Macromolecules, Professor Ikuo Taniguchi delivered a special lecture titled “Potential of Pressure-Responsive Polymers.”

​​​​​2025.8.19-21 At the 15th Conference of the Aseanian Membrane Society (AMS), Professor Ikuo Taniguchi gave an oral presentation on "Potential of post-combustion CO₂ capture by amine-containing polymeric membranes", and second-year master’s student Wataru Sakanishi presented a poster titled “Effect of main chain structure on gas transport properties of thermally rearranged polybenzoxazole copolymers.”

2025.7.15-17 At the NEDO Project Results Presentation Meeting, Professor Ikuo Taniguchi gave a presentation on the theme “Feasibility Study on the Practical Application of an Innovative CO₂ Separation and Recovery Process Using a CO₂ Separation Membrane Module.”

2025.6.19 At the 36th Annual Meeting of the Society of Polymer Processing,Professor Ikuo Taniguchi gave a keynote speech on “Co-creation of Structure and Function in Pressure-Responsive Polymers.”

In addition, second-year Master’s student Takaya Okazaki gave an oral presentation titled “Plasticization of Polystyrene Using Core–Shell Nanoparticle Baroplastics.”​

2025.6.11–13 At the 2025 Annual Meeting of The Society of Fiber Science and Technology, postdoctoral researcher Dr. Neha Sharma gave an oral presentation on “Baroplastics as Plasticizers for Poly(L-Lactide).”

Second-year Master’s student Yutaro Shimizu also gave an oral presentation titled “Correlation Between Chemical Structure and Low-Temperature Flow of Pressure-Processable Block Copolymers.”

2025.6.4 At the 47th Annual Meeting of the Membrane Society of Japan, second-year master’s student Wataru Sakanishi presented a poster on “Mixed Gas Transport Properties of Thermally Rearranged Polybenzoxazole Copolymer Membranes with a Cardo Structure.”​

2025.5.19–23 At the 74th Annual Meeting of The Society of Polymer Science, ​second-year Master’s students Takaya Okazaki and Yutaro Shimizu each gave oral presentations on the following topics:

2025.3.11 Professor Ikuo Taniguchi gave an invited lecture on “Novel Polymer Materials that Flow at Low Temperatures Under Pressure” at the 100th Polymer Processing Technology Conference.

2025.3.7 At the 24-3 Eco-Materials Research Group, Master’s first-year students Takaya Okazaki and Yutaro Shimizu each presented their posters on the following topics:

2025.1.9 At the ICCMME (International Conference on Chemical, Materials and Environmental Engineering), Professor Ikuo Taniguchi gave a keynote lecture on “Development of hollow fiber membrane modules with a thin-film composite structure for CO2 capture and gas separation performance.”2024.12.6 At the 34th Kansai Young Polymer Seminar, Professor Ikuo Taniguchi gave an invited lecture on “Development of Novel Polymer Materials for Achieving Carbon Negativity.”
